I'm not able to connect to the following url using SDP...
Error shows "SDP Main App: internal error reading status bar type" when preview
is activated or when media auto changes during a stream (like a command 20 operation).
Fix: switch off "autoplay preview monitor" tick in options tab, or disable the SDP
media player from 'setup options' and select your windows media player instead.
Status: Repaired in future release.

Time Offset dialog box sometimes shows "12.00.00 AM or PM" instead of "00.00.00".
Fix: please select 24 hour time format in your control panel->Regional Options->Time clock
settings.

HTTP password and ID dialog not displayed when connecting to secure HTTP streaming servers.
The HTTP password dialog is displayed for HTTP redirector site access, but not for streaming
servers. MMS servers are not effected.
Fix: Try selecting MMS protocol (TCP) and try again, you should then get the dialog, if you
do not, you may not be able to access this site. You may need to change the URL to mms://
rather than http:// if you do this.
Status: Updated in future release.

Question: why when i use offset time into media, the time point i actually cut to
is not the exact time i requested?
Fix: This is quite normal. Both the offset time point function and the resume time
points always send the correct time point to the streaming server.
However, MS streaming servers only start sending from the closest past keyframe in
the media stream (if no keyframes exists - then the exact send time is used).
This results in a error in the requested time point. Usually minus a few seconds thats all.
Try not to cut too close to the portion of the media you want, just allow for a
few seconds lead-in time.
Status: OK.

Question:
On a fresh win2000 installation with all windows patches (sp3), if I install SDP as
Administrator and run as another user, then when I clock the "GO" button and choose
a filename, and SDP starts to record it gives this message:
> SDP Main App: An exception occured and reads :-
> Failed to set data for 'AsfDir'
Also, SDP cannot close due to another error :-
> Failed to set data for 'URLList'
What is wrong?
Fix: this is a known bug, if you install as administrator and then change to 'another user',
you do not have access to the registry data SDP requires during saving and loading.
Please log on as 'administrator' only. Other log on users may not be able to use SDP.
This is a registry issue and will be addressed as urgent.
Status: Repaired in future release.

Question:
When entering an address like mms://108.103.203.94:1097 in the Open window and then
clicking on the Go Button i got:
> Please check URL entry, invalid IP/Host

What can be done?
Fix: the end of the URL shows the connection port SDP should connect to, but at this time,
this operation is not automatic. Therefor, you can simply cut the ending port number
(in this example its the :1097 part) off the URL and try replacing it with say /default.asf.
Then put the port number (1097) into the TCP port value in setup->options->protocols.
You should now connect and download the stream.
Status: Repaired in future release, this will be automated.

Question:
Why to i keep getting the error "HTTP parser location nests too deep, bypassing".
Fix: You are accessing a redirector site that requires more than 1 level of parse nesting.
In other words - if an asx location is located within another .asx location, this is 2 levels.
Currently SDP only parses asx/asp files to 1 level, and if the location requires more than that,
this error will occure. Any locations in the redirector that only need 1 level will still be
extracted, only those of 2 or more levels will not.
A manual work around is decribed below in situations like this:
1) When you first OPEN the link, select OK from the Save Redirector File pop up dialog, and then
open that saved redirector (.asx/.asp/.jsp) file with notepad or any other text editor.
2) Within all this data you will see the individual .asx links you need.
3) Manually copy and paste a link into the OPEN dialog and then you can access these sites.
Status: To be upgraded to allow upto 5 levels of nesting.

Question:
When i try to access a URL from within batch download mode, if the URL has any spaces in it the link fails?
Fix: There is a known bug in the SDP batch list parser. As a work around, try to insert the
characters %20 in place of all spaces in the link. Eg hello there.asf would become hello%20there.asf
This may or maynot work depending on the link in question.

My SDP Setup.exe Installer will not work, i get errors and the install fails, what can i do?

Hopefully this will be resolved with the new release and a changed pattern value.
Question:
I'm not able to connect to the following url using SDP (and it works fine otherwise): mms://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/ac/ What happens is that when I hit the go button the "Create / Resume save file" dialog does not appear and nothing happens.
fix: This is a URL parser bug. Please remove the trailing slash from the URL and try again.
